Spiritual Life
Our mission statement emphasizes "why" we want to be a distinctively Christian school. The gospel motivates us as we endeavor to assist students in understanding and walking out the reality of who they are in Christ. We use the Abeka curriculum daily in K3–5th grade to teach our students about the Lord. In 6th-12th grade, our students use the Bob Jones curriculum in their daily Bible classes. Students who learn with us from 7th grade to senior graduation will complete an in-depth study of the entirety of the Bible. In addition to our daily Bible classes, we offer three chapel services every other week—for grades K3-3, 4-6, and 7-12. Chapel is much like a church service, with worship through singing and age-appropriate Bible teaching. Our music is student-led in our 7th-12th grade chapel, and our speakers include faculty members, local pastors, youth pastors, and out-of-town guests. All of these opportunities share our vision. We desire for the knowledge of Christ to move from head to heart so that we might be His hands and feet in ministering the gospel to all nations!
Chapel Worship Team
Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me, and know my thoughts. Psalm 139:23 (KJV)
The heart of a worshiper is found in the realization of who we are and who God is. Faith Academy Chapel band knows where it stands as a band, but also as individuals, when in the presence of God Almighty. Our purpose can be summarized in two words, "new beginnings." It is the place of worship, a place of truth, where God gives us our new beginnings. He cannot do this until we realize where we currently are because how can we begin anew if we don't see that we are already at the end of our rope? The band's heart is to see people come to a place of humility before God and sincerely decide to take the first step of their new journey when they get up off their knees at the altar.
Missions
Ghana
Faith Academy faculty and students have an ongoing mission to reach out to the people of Ghana, West Africa. Groups from Faith have traveled to Ghana to share God's love in meeting the people's physical, educational, and spiritual needs since 2004. We have started Radiant Faith Academy in the villages of Daboase and Takoradi in the western region of Ghana, which is presently reaching nursery through the 9th grade. If you would like more information on how to help this outreach continue fulfilling its mission, contact us at missions@faithacademy.us for more information.
